Terms & Conditions – Authors Publishing House

Welcome to Authors Publishing House (APH, “we”, “our”). By using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Agreement & Legality

  • By purchasing or using our services, you accept these Terms.
  • You must be of legal age to enter into a contract.
  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you (the Client / Author) and APH.

Revision Policy

  • APH offers revisions according to the package selected.
  • Unlimited revisions are available within the original project scope (text edits, minor layout adjustments, illustration tweaks).
  • Major redesigns, additional chapters, or extra illustrations beyond the agreed scope may incur additional fees.
  • Turnaround for revisions is typically 48 hours after receiving your feedback.

Refund Policy & Non-Refundable Conditions

Refund Policy

  • Before initial deliverables are submitted: Full refund minus 10% processing fee.
  • Within 48 hours of initial deliverables: Refund up to 66% minus 10% processing fee.
  • Between 48–120 hours: Refund up to 33% minus 10% processing fee.
  • After 120 hours: No refund will be issued.

Non-Refundable Conditions

You will not be eligible for a refund in the following cases:

  1. You change your mind or your circumstances change.
  2. You find lower-priced services elsewhere.
  3. You purchased services involving third-party vendors, such as:
    • Publishing platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark)
    • Copyright registration
    • ISBN registration
    • Illustrations licensed via third-party sources
  4. Selecting a combo package or bundle.
  5. Not contacting APH for more than 2 weeks, including ignoring emails, calls, or messages from your assigned project manager.
  6. Any project put on hold by the Client.
  7. Approval of initial test manuscripts, illustrations, or draft layouts.
  8. Violation of APH policies, including plagiarism, copyright infringement, or providing misleading content.
  9. Approaching other publishers, designers, or illustrators for the same project during the contracted period.
  10. Requests that change the overall book design, layout, or illustrations beyond the original agreed scope.
  11. Expiration of the refund request timespan (120 hours after delivery of initial files).
  12. Once final files are delivered (digital, print-ready manuscript, cover design, illustrations), no refund is available.
  13. Revision and refund do not apply to free items, such as sample chapters, templates, or promotional mockups.
  14. After book files are submitted to publishing platforms (KDP, IngramSpark, or any other platform), refunds will not be entertained.

Important: These policies ensure APH can maintain professional standards, secure third-party licensing, and deliver high-quality publishing services efficiently.

Content & Materials

  • The Client is responsible for providing manuscripts, images, and all content.
  • APH may provide stock illustrations, templates, or design assets where included in the package.
  • APH is not liable for third-party content issues (copyrights, licensing).

Confidentiality / NDA

  • All project details, manuscripts, and client information remain confidential.
  • Both parties agree not to defame or publicly share confidential information.

Technical Support & Limitations

  • APH provides support for publishing setup (KDP, IngramSpark) and formatting for digital/print.
  • APH does not provide hosting, email setup, or technical troubleshooting outside the contracted scope.
  • Platform integrations beyond standard publishing setups may incur additional charges.

Delivery Policy

  • Projects are delivered digitally via email or the client dashboard.
  • Standard delivery times: 2–3 days per milestone, unless otherwise specified.
  • Rush delivery (if available) may incur extra fees.

File Retention

  • Final project files are retained for 3 months post-completion.
  • Requests for files after 3 months may incur additional fees.

Domain / Publishing Account Transfers

  • APH does not assume responsibility for third-party account issues (KDP, IngramSpark, or other platforms).
  • Any account setup, transfer, or publishing issues due to third-party policies are the responsibility of the Client.

Communication Policy

  • All official communication must be through APH’s authorized email addresses or contact numbers.
  • APH is not liable for miscommunication via unofficial channels.

Ownership & Intellectual Property

  • Clients retain ownership of manuscripts and original content.
  • APH retains rights to design and illustrations until full payment is received.
  • Upon full payment, all rights transfer to the Client, unless otherwise agreed.

Recurring / Future Services

  • APH may store payment information for ongoing services (optional marketing, revisions, or additional books).
  • Any recurring charges will be communicated in advance.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by [Insert State / Country] laws.
  • Disputes will first be handled through mediation or arbitration unless otherwise agreed.

Amendments

  • APH may update these Terms at any time.
  • Revised Terms will apply to new projects and future work.
